Groundbreaking investments at OTTO FUCHS

The constantly growing demands of our customers over the past years with regard to production volume, variant diversity and surface design necessitated building a new surface and logistics centre OTTO FUCHS Surface Technology.

Uniting state-of-the art paintwork technology and surface technology processing with a powerful logistics division under one roof, is a major component of the future strategy regarding new exclusive forged wheels.

The new centre will be built very close to the Meinzerhagen site.  The different work processes involved in the surface treatment of wheels such as diamond turning, polishing and coating as well as commissioning and customer shipping will be concentrated in one location.

Until now these tasks had been carried out at up to three different sites. Up to 1.3 million forged wheels will receive their surface finish on state-of-the-art painting and polishing machines, will be stored in the new high-bay warehouse and will be prepared for shipment there.

The painting shop featuring the very latest technology will be designed precisely to meet the needs of the wide range of variants required in todays exclusive forged wheel business. It represents a crucially important pointer for the future of this highly significant business area.
