OTTO FUCHS Commitment to climate protection

The foundation “Stiftung 2° - Deutsche Unternehmer für Klimaschutz” (German Companies for Climate Protection) and the WWF (World Wide Fund For Nature) have launched a joint 2-year project for decarbonising German industry.

The aim of decarbonisation is to avoid or at least minimise every form of CO2 emission and is a major tool to be used in climate protection and also closely linked to the energy turnaround. All actions and processes which release CO2 into the atmosphere are to be replaced by processes which prevent CO2 release or at least compensate for the emissions.

OTTO FUCHS has been an active member of Stiftung 2° since 2015. The foundation has set itself the aim of limiting average global warming to two degrees Celsius. 13 German companies from the industries construction, transport and industrial manufacturing join up to work out solutions for achieving effective climate protection without losing sight of the economic framework conditions.

With its technical manufacturing know-how as an internationally active industrial company and its sensitivity for the topic of climate protection, OTTO FUCHS supports and advises Stiftung 2°. The company promotes the national and international climate objectives in the way it conducts its business.
