Aluminium and aluminium alloys
Despite its low weight, aluminium exhibits high strength as well as being resistant to corrosion and capable of being processed effectively by forging, extrusion and ring rolling. Due to its attractive properties it is used in all our areas of business.
Apart from its low specific weight it offers the following (depending on the alloys)
- good resistance to corrosion
- medium to high strength
- good failure strain / fracture toughness
- outstanding processability
- good resistance to fatigue
